Michael Brims is a professor for Digital Media Studies and Communications at the University of Houston Clear Lake. He also owns a small video production company, Cosmic Light Productions, and works as an independent documentary filmmaker and video artist. Dr. Garland received her Ph.D. in Geology from Penn State University in 1989. She is currently a lecturer in environmental management. Her research interests include coastal community resilience, integration of social and ecological systems, post-storm community damage assessment and recovery, and public policy and coastal resilience. She is a board member of the Texas Association of Environmental Professionals and is certified as a professional geologist by the government of British Columbia, C

Christa will complete her MA in Digital Media Studies in August 2015. She created numerous videos for sustainable-stories.org, created social media accounts, and helped with the sustainable-stories.org website.

Rachel Whittington is an aspiring graphic designer and videographer from Houston, Texas. In spring 2015 she received her BFA in Graphic Design from UHCL. Digital media is her passion. She has loved working on sustainability-related video projects and has a great enthusiasm for the cause. When Rachel is not working at her full time job in the city, she enjoys running, painting, and doing anything outdoorsy.
