SSFF 2026 in Alvin, Texas & Williamsburg, Virginia

The 2026 edition of our festival will be hosted by Alvin College, a public community college in Brazoria County, Texas and the Arts at William & Mary, a public research university in Williamsburg, Virginia, the second-oldest institution of higher learning in the United, States.
 
For Alvin College, we seek short and medium length film of up to 30 minutes as well as physical art for our festival running from October 12 - November 6 2026.
 
For William & Mary we seek documentary films of between 30–60 minutes for a single screening in October 2026.
 
Special topic of this year's festival is water—its cultural significance, its ecological fragility, and the ways our collective usage shapes futures both local and global.
